Most of our artisans have 8 to 10 years working with our company, and some have as many as 30 years’ experience in the industry. It’s not unusual for find a painter who can also handle drywall or plaster repair, but it IS unusual to find a painter who can also do rough and finished plumbing or an electrician who can also do flooring. We’ve heard all the dreadful stories – one of the biggest fears homeowners have when choosing a remodeler to renovate their home is confidence in the quality of work done by that company and the length of time that any costs to replace or repair issue will be covered if something goes wrong. There are unscrupulous companies that do low quality work and use materials that won’t stand up to the requirements of the application where they were used. Sometimes homeowners may not have done the due diligence to make sure that their remodeler is prepared, in writing, to stand behind their work.
That is not a good practice. Some firms have so many loopholes in their paperwork that their customers have little, or no warranty AND their customers may have signed off on coverage as short as 30 days – or less. Those homeowners will find they have little or no hope of getting issues resolved or recouping their money.
